Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is furious they face missing out on Declan Rice's signing.

The West Ham captain is expected to join Arsenal this summer in a British record £100m deal.

But Ten Hag was convinced he could have brought Rice north to Old Trafford, only to be thwarted due to the club's takeover situation.

The Sun says uncertainty over United's ownership has seen Ten Hag forced to work to a limited transfer budget.

As such, the Dutchman has been forced to the sidelines in the race to secure Rice's signature.
