Man Utd boss Solskjaer on dropped Romero: He was disappointed

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Sergio Romero was "disappointed" after being dropped for last nigth's Europa League semifinal defeat to Sevilla.

Romero had started every game in the competition up until the last four, conceding only two goals and keeping seven clean sheets.

Solskjaer explained the goalkeeper's reaction to being dropped before kick-off.

"You're disappointed, of course," he told BT Sport. "But he's a top professional and he's ready to come on if he has to.

"It's difficult when Sergio has played well and he's never let us down. He's such a professional guy.

"But David (De Gea) has looked really good in training and looks so ready. He made a few saves against Sevilla last time (in the Champions League in 2018)and we hope he's going to make a difference for us."
