Manchester United boss David Moyes is delighted with their capture of Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata. Moyes has broken the club's transfer record and admitted that the £37.1 million signing will be the first of many to join United under his stewardship.
Moyes said: "Juan is one of the finest playmakers in the game today and it's a real pleasure to have secured his signature. He's been instrumental in Chelsea's recent success, with a notable 28 assists and 32 goals in his last two Premier League seasons.
"I want to build an exciting team," Moyes explained on Saturday. "That's always the way I've wanted my football to be played and I've not known it any other way.
"I want to win and give the supporters something to shout about because I've not done that often enough. What I will say is that this is the first of many more to come in time. I'm looking forward to Juan being the start of it."
