Man Utd boss Moyes desperate not to lose Chicharito

Manchester United boss David Moyes is reluctant to lose striker Javier Hernandez.

The Daily Star Sunday says Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is alarmed at his side's lack of potency in the box and will bid to snare the £15milion-rated Mexican hitman, nicknamed Little Pea, in the January transfer window.

White Hart Lane supremo Daniel Levy has given AVB the green light to make signings in January and Hernandez, 25, is his top priority.

Tottenham face a fight to land the forward known as Chicharito, who has scored 33 goals in 79 United appearances, with Moyes said to want to keep the hitman.

But Hernandez, who cost only £6m from Guadalajara, has admitted he may have to quit United to play first-team football regularly.
