Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says their gutsy victory at West Bromwich Albion is the type that wins clubs titles.
United survived a first-half penalty shout and a missed spot-kick in the second period to eventually emerge as 2-1 victors, despite several players suffering knocks in the later stages of a difficult contest.
"It was a massive result for us, we won by battling and showing courage rather than some of the other qualities we normally use," Ferguson told MUTV.
"In my experience of winning leagues in the past, we've always had to have this kind of game when everyone's had to battle to get through it. We had to battle really hard today."
