Man Utd boss Ferguson using chopper to follow Posh

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson never misses a midweek game featuring son Darren's Peterborough United.

The Sunday Mirror says not even Fergie can hot-foot it down the motorway in time to see the Posh, managed by son Darren, by the time he has finished at United's training HQ at Carrington.

So Fergie hires a helicopter to get to London Road in time for kick-off, with wife Lady Cathy on board to take advantage of the flying visit to see her grandchildren.

"Sir Alex flies down in a chopper straight after training, watches the game and stays at Darren's before flying back first thing to Carrington," reveals Barry Fry, Peterborough's director of football.
