Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has taken a pop at Newcastle United.

Ferguson is still unhappy with Newcastle's treatment of former United striker Giuseppe Rossi, now a star with Villarreal.

"They never played him. And he was an outstanding player," said Ferguson.

Ferguson raised the topic of Rossi while discussing the prospect of loaning out Kiko Macheda this month.
