Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has already identified his replacement for veteran defender Rio Ferdinand. The Daily Star says Serbian star Neven Subotic is top of his wanted list.

Fergie has been keeping close tabs on Subotic and has had him watched several times this season.

The Borussia Dortmund centre-back, 22, comes recommended by United captain Nemanja Vidic but would cost Fergie around £20m.
