Manchester United are reviving their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. The Daily Star Sunday says United will scrap with old foes Bayern Munich this summer for the capture of £20million Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski.
Ferguson accepts Bayern are in the driving seat but Lewandowski knows he will upset Dortmund fans if he moves to their rivals.
Lewandowski, 24, is under contract until 2014 but is desperate to try his luck in the Premier League and United would be his ideal destination.
Ferguson, when asked about him, said: "Bayern Munich are strong on that one, too.
"We will have to wait and see where we are in terms of if we win the league."
And he said: "It is complicated enough as it is with the forwards I have got. It would be minor tweaking and it really depends on the availability of players. Not everyone wants to sell."
