Man Utd boss Ferguson raps Aguero: Foreigners dive! Er, but not Nani ...

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has slammed claims from Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero that refs are biased against foreign players. The Argentine believes that English players get special "privileges" when it comes to decisions from referees in the Premier League.

His comments came after his City team-mates and countrymen Pablo Zabaleta and Carlos Tevez had penalty appeals turned down against Fulham.

But Manchester United boss Ferguson said: "As a subject it is not worth going down because we have known for quite a few years there are plenty of players diving and, you have to say, particularly foreign players."

Ferguson, though, defended his own player Nani who himself had a penalty shout waved away by referee Chris Foy against Tottenham - and has also been accused of going down too easily.

And the Scot said: "Nani is not the type to dive. He has never been that type of player.

"It was a penalty kick on Saturday. Sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.

"From the referee's position it was difficult because there were plenty of bodies in front of him. The linesman could have helped him but he didn't."
