Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson rates Schalke No1 Manuel Neuer as a "brilliant goalkeeper".
Fergie suggested that 25-year-old Neuer is bound for Bayern Munich - but other sources claim he could still be on his way to Old Trafford.
The United boss said: "He's an absolutely brilliant goalkeeper.
"He's a massive big lad with good presence. He controls the box. If you hang up the ball you're wasting your time."
