Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted to see his former midfielder Paul Ince doing well in charge at Blackburn Rovers.
Ferguson said: "Paul has carried on with a successful operation at Blackburn.
"I was impressed with Paul's team MK Dons who played good football.
"He always had something about him and I'm not surprised he has gone into management.
"He started low down and has worked his way up and clearly has the confidence to go anywhere and take a chance.
"When he was a player of mine he was always a determined, stubborn lad. He was a fighter on the pitch and had good qualities.
"He has taken that into management and I'm not surprised he's done well."
Ferguson's decision to sell Ince to Inter Milan for £7million sparked controversy at the end of 1994-95 season.
But the United boss insisted: "We had Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and David Beckham coming through and we had an offer from Inter which I felt was good for the club."
