Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he's unsure if Rio Ferdinand will make their Champions League return-leg date with Inter Milan.

Ferdinand left Craven Cottage in a protective boot on his right foot after picking up an ankle injury and getting taken off at half-time.

"I just hope he can make Wednesday because he is such an important player," Ferguson said.

John O'Shea also picked up a knock and was replaced by Richard Eckersley just after the break.
