Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insists he has no concerns at right-back - despite Gary Neville's injury problems and Wes Brown's refusal to sign a new contract.
"I don't have any concerns around right-back because Danny Simpson is excellent," said Ferguson. "He has improved tremendously since he came back from playing in the Championship with Sunderland.
"That division is a battle and players develop their battling instincts by playing in that kind of league.
"That is what we are finding with the Championship. They don't come back any better technically but they have been toughened up."
