Man Utd boss Ferguson confident Jones can handle Bolton skipper Davies

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Phil Jones can handle facing Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies today.

Jones has been faultless since joining United from Blackburn in an £18m deal and Fergie has backed the teenager to handle what- ever Bolton throw at Jones has shown he is quite capable of dealing with different aspects of opponents.

"I'm sure he must have played against him last year and he probably played against the likes of (Didier) Drogba and (Peter) Crouch.

"It's not as if he's lacking experience of playing against players of that type, so I'm sure he will be all right."
