Manchester United are likely to miss out on the signing of Velez Sarsfield whizkid Thiago Almada.

The 20-year-old attacker has been compared to Lionel Messi in recent months.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, MLS side Atlanta United are set to secure the attacker.

The paper states that Almada is set to sign a four-year deal with the MLS outfit on Tuesday.

He will play with Atlanta United in the 2022 MLS season, as he wants to get regular game time and develop his game before moving to Europe.
