FIFA president Sepp Blatter will present Manchester United with a commemorative badge as a tribute to their World Club Championship win. Prior to kick-off on Wednesday against Inter Milan, Blatter will make the presentation.

Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson today told the Manchester Evening News that he is delighted that United are the first British club to have won the tournament.

"It was an enormous honour to become the first British club to win the FIFA Club World Cup and this is a badge we will wear with great pride," he stated.

"I hope we are in a position to defend the trophy in December."
