Manchester United will reportedly duke it out with Arsenal for Matteo Darmian.

Football Italia suggests that the Premier League pair are both eyeing a summer move for Torino full-back and will provide competition for each other at the end of the season.

It is believed that Louis van Gaal is determined to sign a right-back in the next transfer window and has added Darmian to his list which also includes Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne.

Arsene Wenger already has a number of players who are capable of holding down the right-back position including Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin but wants to strengthen his squad in all areas.
