Manchester United and Arsenal are in talks with Gent striker Jonathan David.

The Canada international has emerged as one of the hottest young transfer properties in Europe over the past year.

HLN says David's agent Nick Mavromaras has fielded approaches from United and Arsenal in recent weeks.

No offers were tabled, but both Premier League giants registered their interest in the 20 year-old with Mavromaras.

For his part, Gent chief Michel Louwagie has insisted it will take more than €25m to tempt them into parting with David this summer.
