Manchester United are ready to slap in a January bid for Dundee United winger Ryan Gauld. The People says Gauld - dubbed the 'Mini Messi' - is high on the Old Trafford club's summer wish-list.
It is thought champions United have offered an initial payment of £3million to the SPL side - and have also made a pledge to play three pre-season friendly games against the Terrors, starting in July.
However, United's bid falls well below the Tannadice club's £6m valuation of the 17-year-old Scotland Under-21 midfielder, who is also on the radar of Real Madrid.
