Manchester United are ahead of Arsenal in the race for Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie.
The Daily Star says several Premier League clubs have also been monitoring the young Feyenoord star this season, including Swansea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Wessel Weezenberg, Clasie's agent, recently revealed his client was yet to receive any offers from United, but that it was likely that his future would be wrapped up after the World Cup.
Weezenberg said: "There has been no contact recently with the Viola [Fiorentina] or with the Red Devils [Manchester United] and neither with other clubs.
"Jordy's future will probably be decided after the World Cup."
Recent reports claim Clasie has been picked out by United new boss Louis Van Gaal as a player who could help solve the Old Trafford side's lack of creativity in midfield.
