The Times says Dier is on United's radar to replace Nemanja Matic this summer.

West Ham youngster Declan Rice is also said to be under consideration.

Unitd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add new steel to his midfield with Ander Herrera also leaving for PSG.

United will look to sign a few young, hungry up-and-coming British players and a couple more experienced heads. United were looking to make a couple of top-level signings such as Jadon Sancho and Matthijs de Ligt, but they have had to downgrade their expectations following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
