Man Utd ace Rooney: Sod Coca-Cola, we will go with Pepsi!

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been hit in the hip pocket after losing his deal with Coca Cola.

The Mirror says yesterday the drinks giant confirmed the £600,000-a-year deal is over. It was claimed they made the decision earlier this year.

A spokesman said: "We mutually agreed that we would not renew our relationship. We wish Wayne well in his career."

A source close to Rooney last night shrugged off the loss of the Coca-Cola deal - and even hinted that he might now switch to rival company Pepsi.

The source said: "There are quite a lot of offers which are coming in, and some of those are other drinks companies."

Rooney's other big sponsors Nike (£1m a year) and EA Sports (£250,000) were both standing by him last night.
