Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will be available for the upcoming World Cup double-header against Ukraine and Belarus.
It had been thought Rooney's wife, Coleen, was due to give birth on October 10, the day England play in Ukraine, but the couple are expecting the baby to be born at the end of the month - allowing the Manchester United striker to travel to eastern Europe and then face Belarus at Wembley four days later, says the Mail on Sunday.
England manager Fabio Capello put Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster on the bench for a friendly against Slovenia three weeks ago, just 24 hours after the birth of his baby.
If the due date proves accurate, Rooney could miss United's Premier League clash against Liverpool on October 25.
