Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong is at the centre of a Holland flashpoint.

The Sun says De Jong was substituted during their surprise 1-0 Euro defeat against Denmark - and the combative midfielder was clearly not impressed.

Now there are whispers within the squad that De Jong's fellow midfielder Mark van Bommel receives special attention.

Van Bommel is the son-in-law of Holland manager Bert van Marwijk.
