Man City's Bojinov reveals Eriksson support

Valeri Bojinov has revealed Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has been in constant contact as he has recovered from knee surgery.

"I've had full support from the Manager from the very first moments after the injury happened," Bojinov told City's website. "He came to see me in the hospital that night, and I was in contact with him on an almost daily basis before I returned to Manchester.

"His support for me was very, very important and it's fortunate that we can both speak Italian, because that has made me very comfortable and part of what was going on at the club even when I was away."

The 21-year-old, signed from Fiorentina in August, is targeting a comeback in January and he's keen on getting fully involved having enjoyed what he was watching from afar.

"I have really enjoyed the way we have played," he continues. "I'm looking forward to coming back and I think I will like the team's style. There's a lot of quality, there's strength from the goalkeeper all the way through to the strikers.

"That's why it's a shame that I can only watch and not get involved in at the moment. I know I'll enjoy playing in this side when I'm back, I'm sure of it."
