Manchester City won't haggle over a price with Arsenal for Robin van Persie.
The Sunday Mirror says Etihad chiefs will refuse to ask Arsenal to name their price for van Persie and will instead make an opening bid of no more than £15million, once they are confident Emmanuel Adebayor will complete a move to Tottenham.
Van Persie's statement has only underlined belief above manager Roberto Mancini at City that they should not pay over the odds for a striker who turns 29 next month, has a poor injury record and has confirmed he will not sign a new Arsenal deal.
