Manchester City winger Leroy Sane was lucky to escape without any injury against Serbia.

The flying City wide man was subject to a rash challenge from Serbia's Milan Pavkov.

He hobbled off the pitch, but has escaped serious damage. Pavkov received a red card for the incident.

The 23-year-old should be fit for Germany's next game, along with City's upcoming fixtures.

Speaking of the challenge, Germany boss Joachim Low said to reporters: "It was a vicious foul. Sane was lucky and got away with not getting hurt but such fouls can break bones."
