Manchester City winger Robinho says he's happy with his new look.

Robinho has been starring for Brazil at the World Cup sporting a scratchy looking beard.

"I'm not growing the beard to look scary," he said. "It's for aesthetic reasons. The beard had a good debut.

"An ugly face for beautiful football, if that's what God wants."
