Man City whiz Foden: Why Pep is wrong about me...

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden says he doesn't regard himself as "world class".

City manager Pep Guardiola made the claim after Foden's two-goal derby performance on Sunday against Manchester United.

But Foden has since stated: “I'm not a world-class player yet. I think I have the potential to become one, but hearing that from a coach is special for me.

"I still want to continue to improve and try to be an even better player. I have to do this all the time in the most important matches. If you do this for several years, then you will receive the status of a world-class player.

"I'm enjoying the season, I'm in good shape now, so I want to keep it that way. This may be my best season."
