Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is thrilled to be back in Spain with Valencia.
Negredo has joined Los Che on a season-long loan.
"Being welcomed like that makes you feel very special. I am where I want to be; the club have shown they believe in me. I hope that we can get back into Europe where is where Valencia deserves to be.
"I'm not making any sacrifices because I've come back to my country; I was happy and settled at Manchester City but this move has come about due to the circumstances. Valencia's President and Rufete have taken a chance on me. I've come here to work hard and recover as soon as possible."
Negredo did not kiss the Valencia badge.
He explained: "The issue with the club badge is a personal one. Stepping out onto the pitch was an incredible feeling but today is not the right moment for kissing the badge. That moment will be when I am able to play out on the pitch and when I have done something for these fans."
