Manchester City have confirmed a collaboration agreement with Espanyol.
The partnership is not formal, but the two clubs have entered a partnership.
A City spokesman said: "There is no formal agreement but they are a club which we have begun to foster a good relationship with.
"That relationship may help bring a number of opportunities for both clubs in the future."
It understood Espanyol will not act as a feeder club but share information regarding scouting and youth development.
