Manchester City are seeking two new midfield additions this summer.

The Daily Mail says City will look to land two midfielders this summer if Ilkay Gundogan does not commit his future to the club.

Pep Guardiola needs a holding midfielder as competition for Fernandinho, with Atletico Madrid's Rodri a primary target.

City are also identifying potential signings in a more advanced position should they fail to convince Gundogan to pen fresh terms. The German's current deal expires next year.

Guardiola was left impressed by Lyon's Houssem Aouar after the two Champions League fixtures earlier in the season.
