Roberto Mancini has congratulated Jose Mourinho for notching up his 100th Champions League game in charge.
The Portuguese manager has overseen FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid in Europe's premier club competition and at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night will make it to 100 matches.
Ahead of Madrid's meeting with Manchester City, the man he replaced at Inter in 2008 has acknowledged the great achievement but made it clear that those on the pitch are more important to the game than those off it.
"Congratulations to him," said Mancini.
"To do 100 caps in the Champions League at his age (49) is very important, but I think tomorrow is not Mourinho against Mancini but City against Real Madrid. The players are more important than us."
