Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has heaped praise on former teammate Kasper Schmeichel.
The Leicester City gloveman was already with City when Hart arrived from Shrewsbury Town in 2006 and the England international feels his Denmark counterpart has performed admirably with the Foxes following his arrival from Leeds United in 2011.
"Kasper is a good friend of mine off the field," Hart told the club's official website.
"He was great to me when I first came to this club and we've remained close since.
"He's been absolutely brilliant in everything he's done, he's a massive part of Leicester and what they've done this season."
Second-placed City take on bottom-of-the-table Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday but Schmeichel will not be down the other end of the pitch from Hart as he is sidelined for around a month with a metatarsal injury.
