John Guidetti has thoroughly deserved his first Sweden senior team call-up says manager Erik Hamren.
The 19-year old Manchester City striker has scored 18 goals in 16 Eredivisie matches for Feyenoord and Hamren admits it is that form which has warranted a potential debut against Croatia in a friendly next week.
"He clearly deserves his place after what he's achieved for his club," Hamren told the Swedish football association's official website.
Guidetti has been named alongside a group of Swedish strikers including AC Milan ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Galatasaray's Johan Elmander, PSV Eindhoven's Ola Toivonen and Goteborg's Tobias Hysen.
