Manchester City's Elano has been offered as a loan deal to Spanish club Espanyol.

Recently the Brazilian has been out of favour with City boss Mark Hughes and the club is expected to bolster its squad in January which will make it increasingly difficult to force his way into the first team.

Espanyol sport director Paco Herrera has said the club is considering the deal.

"We have received the offer for the loan but have still not given an answer," Herrera told skysports.com.
