Manchester City described Barcelona striker Luis Suarez as a 'dogsbody' in their matchday programme on Tuesday.
The City guide suggested that the Uruguay international does all the hard work while the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar pick up all the accolades and glory.
The prgramme said: "It's a measure of the task facing City's defence tonight that Luis Suarez is the one who does the donkey work in Barcelona's front three.
"He is very much the dogsbody in this trio of artful dodgers."
But the former Liverpool ace hit back in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg by producing a first-half brace as the Catalan giants defeated the Premier League champions 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
The return bout takes place at the Camp Nou on March 18 as City look to overturn a one-goal deficit on Barcelona's hallowed turf.
