Man City's Bridge in Liverpool's sights

Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge is in the sights of Liverpool according to reports.

The 29-year old left-back may be forced out at Eastlands if Roberto Mancini is successful in bringing Serbia international Aleksandar Kolarov from Lazio and new Reds boss Roy Hodgson is watching closely.

The fact that Emiliano Insua is on the verge of a move to Fiorentina indicates that there is a starting spot at left-back up for grabs at Anfield and Bridge could be the man to fill the void.

It seems as though Hodgson is trying to bring some homegrown players back to Liverpool following Rafael Benitez's exit with the capture of England international Joe Cole and now interest in Bridge.
