Man City's Begiristain expects 'amazing' football in Group E

Manchester City's director of football Txiki Begiristain believes Group E of the Champions League this season will produce some top quality performances.

Reigning Premier League champions City have been drawn alongside German powerhouse Bayern Munich, Russian side CSKA Moscow and Italy's AS Roma in the 2014/15 edition of Europe's premier club competition and Begiristain is expecting some 'amazing' football from the four clubs involved.

"It's a very, very, tough group. They are very strong teams," Begiristain told Sky Sports.

When quizzed on his thoughts regarding City having the most difficult group, he added: "I think so. It's spectacular all the clubs try to play good football. It will be an amazing group.

"We are happy with the squad we have for this season. We've signed some very good players and we want to improve in the Champions League. We'll try to win every game and we'll try to play well."
