Manchester City have rubbished reports they're moving for Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola.

The Mail on Sunday says City dismissed reports on Saturday night that they had reached a verbal agreement with Pep Guardiola to take over as manager next season.

City insist their end-of-season review is standard practice - it was carried out last year even when they won the Premier League and the Capital One Cup under Manuel Pellegrini.

Pellegrini's current contract runs out in the summer of 2016 and there have been no talks about an extension.
