Manchester City are pushing to beat Chelsea and Manchester United for Fiorentina defender Matija Nastasic.
The young Serb has been likened to United captain Nemanja Vidic and been long admired by all three Premier League heavyweights.
Gazzetta dello Sport says City boss Roberto Mancini is making a move for Nastasic this week.
He is offering €12 million plus defender Stefan Savic in exchange for the 19 year-old.
