Manchester City are reviving their interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke.

Koke penned new terms with Atletico last year amid interest from City and Manchester United.

The Daily Star Sunday says Spanish sources claim the Premier League champions are preparing to offload Stevan Jovetic to Atleti, and will attempt to negotiate a swap deal.

Koke has a £44m release clause in his contract, a fee that could be reduced by as much as £20m should Jovetic figure in the deal.

Chelsea are known to be interested in Koke, and may be more inclined to mount an offer now that Marco Reus has committed his future to Borussia Dortmund.
