Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and Spanish star David Silva are unlikely to make the start of the Premier League season.

The pair only reported for pre-season training last week after Euro 2012 and were marked absent against Limerick.

City coach David Platt said: "They are behind the other lads. We don't know if they will be ready to start games."
