Manchester City boss Mark Hughes will have cash to splash out again in January.
The Sunday Mirror says despite City's £200m spending spree in 12 months, Hughes has been promised more money if the club are contesting a top-four place.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich) and Andres Iniesta (Barcelona) have all been linked with City.
