Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is ready to bankroll a £150 million summer spending spree.
The Sun says City boss Roberto Mancini has been told by club owner Sheikh Mansour to set up a team that can deliver the club out of the dark days of failure and land silverware.
And the Eastlands boss will have anything up to £150million to achieve the dream of a Premier League title.
The fact City have failed to win anything since the 1976 League Cup makes the challenge all the more appetising for Mancini.
And he believes City have already shown they can match the top three of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
He said: "We were very strong against all of them this season. It shows we have a good mentality - and this is important."
