Manchester City have handed John Guidetti a new contract.

Sky Sports says despite having two years left on his current deal, City have now moved to agree a long-term extension with Guidetti.

The player is currently working his way back to full fitness after contracting an illness towards the end of last season which ruled him out of pre-season.
