Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard is confident he wrung every last drop of potential out of his body during his career.

Chelsea legend Lampard leaves City next week for New York City FC.

"I'd have hated to have left anything on the table," he told the Mail on Sunday.

"I have seen it with young boys who had everything at their feet and let it go.

"I'm proud that I gave everything. I'd like to think that I had talent. Sometimes I get accused of being more about hard work than talent. I take that as a huge compliment. I had the desire and determination to make the best of my career."
