Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan admits he'd be open to a move to the MLS.
Gundogan concedes he enjoys visiting the USA and won't rule out playing in MLS in the future.
He told ESPN: "Playing in MLS in the future? Honestly, I love the United States, so inevitably I would imagine myself playing there one day. I don't know when, since I have a contract with Manchester City.
"But I sincerely think that MLS is an interesting league and I also think that in the next few years it will improve further. I want soccer to gain importance in the United States. I don't know if it will ever happen like basketball and all other sports, but I would like it to improve so that there is a rapprochement.
"So, if I had the opportunity to play in MLS, I would certainly try to go there."
