Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is urging Leroy Sane to stay.

Sane is being linked with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid as he edges closer to playing again after undergoing knee surgery at the start of the season.

“Sure," he replied, with a winky face, when asked during a Twitter Q&A if he's told Sane to stay at the club.

“I would be happy if he remains my teammate for many years … we will see what will happen!"

Gundogan was also full of praise for another teammate: Kevin De Bruyne.

When another fan asked the German who his top three players in the world were he named De Bruyne in second, behind only Lionel Messi and a place ahead of Kylian Mbappe.
